Hello my Friends,
It was long time ago when I visited TN gallery last time. So first of all – all the best for ALL OF YOU!!! :>
Last weeks it is snowing in Lodz almost every day (all the time), the temperature is ca. -10 to +1C, so today I decided to show something from rather warmer period of year. This is a picture taken last year during my expedition to Morocco. I hope you will like it :>

This is a Discoglosse Peint (Discoglossus scovazzi Camerano, 1878) (Amphibia: Discoglossidae) - one of 14 species of Amphibia recorded from the area of Morocco. Recently this species was removed from the synonymy of Discoglossus pictus.

Distribution: Morocco, Spain (possibly also Algieria)

Habitat rivers, streams in humid areas. It reaches elevations of 2,600m a.s.l. in the High Atlas mountains.

Size: up to 6-7cm.

Conservation status: placed in the LC category in the IUCN Red List. It is also listed on Appendix III of the Bern Convention.

Picture was taken in Sidi, next to Camel Cave, NE Morocco. In the some place another amphibian species was also observed by me - Rana saharica.

Hello Radomir,
Nice to see you posting again!
This is a fine capture of this rare species of Moroccan Frog. The lateral POV is ideal and shows its features with excellent sharpness and colours thanks to great use of flash.
This is nice to view, especially when we have the same winter weather!
Thanks and kind regards from the frozen North!
Ivan

Hallo Radomir
I certainly hope it's not one of those frogs one have to kiss in order to get a prince, because then I shall have to stay princeless all my days. Excellent sharpness, colours and point of view. I really like the sight of the water the frog is sitting in. The water looks refreshing and the frog looks like it is enjoying every minute of "cooling down".
Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Anna
