[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This time when I went photographing the local Moreporks, I used my light stands with and wireless trigger. I am amazed these birds don't worry about the light and simply stay and pose beautifully. Thanks for looking.

The morepork (Ninox novaeseelandiae) is New Zealandís only surviving native owl.

Often heard in the forest at dusk and throughout the night, the morepork is known for its haunting, melancholic call. Its Maori name, ruru, reflects this call.

Hello Pam,
A superb portrait of this endemic NZ owl. The use of flash has brought the colours and details with fine clarity and the eye contact is great.
Thanks and best wishes for Christmas from the wintery North.
Ivan

Hello Pam,
long time no see, I hope you are well.
A very nice picture even with a flash, but owl are night active birds so there it works good, normally I don't like flash pictures..
The picture is sharp with lots of details, the eyes are amazing.
Well done, old friend.
Maerry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Warm regards
Gert
