Rock City Albino Deer
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Taken at Rock City near Chattanooga, TN. This albino deer was lying down in a ravine below a bridge walkway from which this image was made. It was difficult to get a perfectly clear shot because of the tree foliage between the camera and the subject. |
There was a mix of dappled sunlight and shade with a fairly dim overall light level. I had to dial up 800 ISO to get any chance of making a decent image. I had a limited DOF because I used a medium shutter speed to freeze the movement.
I did some color correction, noise reduction, and sharpening in RAW/PS5. I have several versions of this image cropped different ways showing the entire deer or other views but the foliage is distracting in some of these variations. I felt this face close-up view was the most compelling.
I show the original RAW image (converted to JPEG for TN) in a TN Workshop.

Nice closeup shot of what appears to be an albino colored Fallow Deer Buck. There are a few of these living in the Lookout Mountain area. I like the attractive pose, natural coloration and the exposure is just right. Well done!!
beautifull portrait, nice light and natural colors,
