[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Blue Thistle is a garden work horse thriving in many different climates and in just about any soil. This perennial has deep green, thistle-like foliage and flowers reliably in mid-summer with numerous intensely blue, globe-shaped flowers. Because it is showy and offers accessible nectar, female bees seek exclusively for food for their larva' as well as for themselves, sweeping up the abundant pollen with their abdominal brushes as they feast without effort.

Hallo Julie
Absolutely the image of the day and just what the doctor has ordered. The colours are rich and striking, the details wonderfully sharp. I very much fancy the full framed composition and viewpoint. It is like a ball filled with colourful spikes. Indeed a lovely flower. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Julie,
very beautifull image, sharp details, nice natural colors and clear BG.
TFS, regards,
