[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken from the safety of a Land Rover, very close to this unperturbed lioness. The lions in the National Parks of Tanzania have no natural predators and are therefore unconcerned by curious tourists like me. The dark background is the vertical wall of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Magnificent pose of this beautiful lioness, but I think what makes this picture outstanding for me is the background of the tall grass. I just love the fine curls of the dry grass against the gray-blue of the crater. I love the lioness too. A stunning shot altogether. TFS, Eleanor. : )

What is she looking to. Something to diner ?

A beautiful shot on this lioness. The light is very soft and flattering to this regal lady. Sharp detail, with a perfect DOF. The higher grass behind her really enhances the photo.
