hello friends, should i or should
i not post this photo, i was decided
to not post but tonight i change my mind
even if the image quality is not so good

i have to tell that this is the
55th species of bird in-flight
that i am posting in TN

i did a big and very important cropping
on this image to have the bird closer
because he was flying from far

i wish next summer i will have a
camera with better performance and
i will do a better in-flight photo
of this species of Heron

from the All About Birds website

« A small, stocky wading bird,
the Green Heron is common in wet
spots across much of North America.
It can be difficult to see as it
stands motionless waiting for small
fish to approach within striking range,
but it frequently announces its presence
by its loud squawking.

Adult Description
- Small, dark heron.
- Long yellowish legs.
- Long, dark, pointed bill.
- Long neck often kept pulled
in tight to body.
- Legs and neck long,
but shorter than most herons. »

Good day friend Asbed! Number 55 species of flying birds sounds a lot! Bravo!
In my opinion two main things could be improved earlier, before you took that shot. The first thing is to open your aperture even further. In my experience, I am always trying to keep the aperture settings wide open, specially when the subject is expected to be far from the lens. You see, Asbed in this photo the background seems quite well in focus and the flying bird is almost lost there because of that.
The second thing is probably the low contrast, and white balance which is moving towards the cold color gamut - blue/cyan. But all this can be adjusted later in post processing!
Have a great week MF, Asbed!

Hello Asbed,
lively capture of this heron.Very fast flight and you managed it so well.
I like the preserved green surroundings too.

Bonjour Asbed,

Saludos Asbed: Josep Ignasi.

Hello Asbed,
I seemed to have missed this one for some reason!
A fine in-flight of a Green Heron well shown against the natural BG of trees.
The flight posture and sharp bill make look like a dart flying through the air.
55 species of birds in flight is very impressive! Congratultions!
Thanks and kind regards,
