EGRET, COYPU AND MALLARDS on the riverbank

The Arno is a river in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is the most important river of central Italy after the Tiber.
It crosses Florence, where it passes below the Ponte Vecchio and the Santa Trìnita bridge (built by Bartolomeo Ammanati, but inspired by Michelangelo). The river flooded this city regularly in historical times, the last occasion being the famous flood of 1966, with 4,500 m³/s after a rain of 437.2 mm in Badia Agnano and 190 millimetres in Florence, in only 24 hours.(Wikipedia)

The riverbank in town is populated by numerous animals, like Egrets, Coypus, ducks and gulls. I also saw some Common Kingfishers and other birds.
I show this rather documentary picture because of the interesting cohabitation of several species.

We have an all small city party here, even the plastic bag floating around, and everyone is going in the same direction, ... and they lived happily since ever after... Interesting! Good day dear Anne! It's nice to see your work again! Lovely capture, with so much in it, and rightly described as a documentary image by you! Bravo Anne!

I have seen some mind blowing landscapes of Tuscany here and there, Anne. Good to know you are/were there and took this shot of co-habitation of life forms along the Arno.
It is a beautiful capture of these creatures busy with their own lives. The image shows it is a bright, sunny and cheerful day. I hope you have enjoyed your trip.

Delightful image not just documentary, natural history with fine composition (diagonal) and those lines by the plants creates some fine movement along with the animals here. well done. tfs.

Ciao Anne, great capture of different species, wonderful composition with beautiful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

bonjour Anne

hello Anne
very nice composition with many animals
great details and good sharpness
i like this shot
thanks greeting lou

Hello Anne,
A very interesting and beautiful picture with the different ones existing in apparent harmony. Excellent detail - the light conditions seem to be good on one hand and difficult on the other. Well done.

PS: Pity about the object in the water but sometimes one has to live with such intrusion.

Ciao Anne. What pleasant situation here! DOF and details are perfect. Interesting capture in not so easy light's contitions. Very well done.

Very interesting shot you present us. All are searching food with peaceful co-existence.

Hello Anne,
Interesting photo of these animals together, specially the Coypu. Never seen in the wild. A pity is the plastic in the water. Very nice natural colours and a pleasing composition.

Hello Anne,

Hi Anne,

Thanks for sharing.

Ciao Anne.
Ottima composizione con vori tipi di animali tranne uno il saccetto di plostica, purtroppo nei fiumi Italiani vive anche quella spece.Belli i colori grande la nitidezza, complimenti.
Ciao Marco.

Hello Anne, unfortunately, have condensed into a single image are reduced as many Italian rivers, dirty water, a nutria from South America and finally a plastic bag. How evil are reduced. You are still been good to condense everything. Rwegards, Paolo

Ciao Anne,
Grazie e complimenti
Buona notte
Con amicizia

Hi Anne. It's great to see this many creatures together. I like that you framed it well keeping it from looking cramped. Well done. I also like the way the muddy water blends with the mud bringing the picture together. The lighting and focus is great and the reeds give a nice pattern to focus on. Well done! TFS Trevor

It is truly an interesting documentary image. Thanks for sharing, Anne.

¿"Nutria" in Italy ??? It is very interesting because it is a typical animal in South America, particularly in my area, island area and large rivers of the coast of Argentina. The Spanish Conquistadors called "nutria" (otter) for a very general appearance and aquatic life (although the "nutria" is a rodent, like the beaver, otter and true is a mustelid).

I guess it was introduced in Europe at some point. Now I will investigate the matter ...

My affections, as always, for you.
