|While I was on holiday in the beautiful state of Florida I happened to come across this incredible snake. It is some kind of rattlesnake. I was terrified and he was rattling away. Hope you enjoy.|

Excellent shot and well composed.
The image is OOF, but an excellent effort. Hope you didn't fill your pants during this shot. LOL
Diamond back? nasty boys.

Could be a tad sharper (unsharpmask should do that easily), and have a bit more DOF (seems the light was low), but what an effective "golden mean/spiral" composition that directs the eye through the picture!
In addition, the lines of the main action/tongue are complemented by the lines on the snake's body and the lines of the grass, with the red grass bits repeating the tongue-theme and shape. You did not paint the grass on purpose, did you?
High impact picture, very well done!
I'd be scared too, Tom! You were still very close... brave. You caught that tongue in mid-flip which gives it an interesting element. The pattern is very interesting. Nicely done :-)

I shoot ducks and gulls --- maybe you should think about that --- I won't mind !!!
Well done. I want to say nice shot, but I am afraid of encouraging you further ....
