This Mosaic Moray Eel (Enchelycore ramosa) was as shocked to to me, as I was to see him! If you look closely even his teeth are a mosaic pattern.

He is a fierce looking character Amanda. My husband has dived up at the Poor Knights - he loved it there.
What amazing colours the rocks and sea plants are too. The eel has come out well. Very good capture. Well done.

Hey Amanda,

You're brave !!! I've caught some of these old boys (or thier cousins at least) accidentally when fishing, and I'll tell you that trying to release them safely (for both parties) is not that easy. I'd give you 2 points for bravery anyway, but this is a really fabulous shot. Well done.
