Prezados, não consegui identificar o inseto. Trata-se de exemplar muito arisco, voou muito até permitir fazer a foto de longe. Mede aproximadamente uns 8 cm e sempre pousa no tronco das árvores. Desde já grato se alguém conseguir identificar.

Dear, I could not identify the insect. It is exemplary too aloof, too flew up to allow the picture from afar. It measures approximately 8 cm and always land on the tree trunks. Already grateful if anyone could identify.

Ola Paulo,
A fine macro of a species of beetle that belongs to the family of Jewel Beetles (Buprestidae). Excellent sharpness, colours and lighting in a pleasing composition on the palm stem.
