[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An Arctic fox, partway through its transition from white to dark gray, forages for grubs and caterpillars on the west Greenland tundra. It has been a cool Spring, but the insects that make up a large portion of these foxes' diets are already busy.

Photo was taken about 10 km West of the edge of the inland ice in a glacial carved valley situated just North of the Arctic circle. The nearest town is Kangerlussuaq, about 35 km to the SW.

Hi Jeff,

Great colours and prospectives in this one. The foxes eye manages to pop out of it's surroundings, giving this fox such a unique character. Sneaky little bugger.

Hello Jeff,
Full marks for perserverance. An interesting shot and note. Well done.
