Arenaria pungens Clemente ex Lag. subsp. pungens, Elench. Pl.: 15 (1816)

Arenaria is a genus of flowering plants, within the family Caryophyllaceae.
Arenaria pungens is a species endemic to the southern mountains of of the Iberian Peninsula (Sierra Nevada) and Morocco (High Atlas). Generally grows on rocky places.

This photo is taken in Tizi n’Tadat, Toubkal Mountains, at 3.400 m, High Atlas, Morocco.

Good details on this macro. Looks like a relatively large flower, ours are quite small-flowered. regards yiannis

Fine details in the white flower, not so easy to expose well in bright light!
DoF is accurate and isolates the subject well from the blurry background...
And the fly is a bonus..!
