Yes, I see the dinosaurs had black fingernails :) But jokes aside, this is a wonderful piece of information that I will certainly follow up on. Brazil and South Africa were joined together at the time and soon afterwards separated. There are similar footprints here in South Africa. And fertilised fossilised dinosaur eggs with the little ones inside. Thank you for a wonderful contribution. Best wishes.

PS: Talking about palaeontologists (I am not one but thoroughly enjoyed the science at university), next week I will be addressing with some students a topic which I call "The Lystrosaurus Enigma" argueing that Lystrosaurus was not, after all, our very ancient ancestor. And, if I survive for long enough, the palaeontologists will kill me :)

Not so often we have the privilege to see such footprints. I am amazed that being exposed to different environments are still very well preserved. Nice collage and a good idea to include your hand for comparison.

Bonjour Ana,
Une bonne idée de nous montrer ces traces de dinosaures et d'en faire un collage. En Suisse aussi il existe plusieurs sites où l'on peut voir des traces assez longues des ces créatures immenses. Cela nous rammène à un passé vraiment très très lointain!

I remember as a young boy how interested I was in dinosaurs. I can only imagine how thrilling it must have been to actually see these footprints, and be able to touch them with your hands. Thank you for sharing you photos.
