Tephritis bardanae

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Flies in the backyard:
This 5 mm long Tephritid fly (Diptera; Tephritidae; Tephritis bardanae Schrank 1803; Klettenbohrfliege) sits on a nettle leaf but its host plant is really Arctium. This particular Tephritid species does not attack fruits but our weeds that our wilderness garden provides. It's not a First on TN, but the fine pic of Nicolas (nimou) was. |

Lieber Dieter,
In meiner Abwesenheit warst Du sehr aktiv!!
Anne
