| this photograph was taken from the window of my cottage at the 'nature camp' in Suntaleykhola. i tried to capture this bird on the previous afternoon, but since the light was too dim, the shots were not satisfactory. this time, i was in my room, changing dress, but as i heard the call and that from quite near, i couldn't resist myself. i just took my camera, and slowly opened the window. i was afraid that the bird might vanish if there was any movement on my side. i had to be careful. fortunately, the whole thing went smooth. i got enough time to capture this wild beauty i had been after since previous day. and when i finished, i realized i was shivering in cold! well, i was in the middle of an unfinished job after all :D :D :D |

Hello Ruby,
Very nice photo of this Brown Shrike, Lanius cristatus. Good sharpness, details and pose with eye contact. Beautiful natural colours, nicely contrasting against the background. Excellent composition.
