Hello friends in TN,

It's not common to find blue glassy tiger around my place. I was lucky to spot this butterfly by the rice field on one fine morning (with the bonus of a bee). The Blue Glassy Tiger (Ideopsis vulgaris) is a butterfly that belongs to the Crows and Tigers, that is, the Danaid group of the Brush-footed butterflies family. At night, these butterflies roost in large numbers in trees by hanging onto small bare branches and twigs.

Thanks for viewing!

Hello Jusni,
Nice semi-frontal view of this attractive Danaid. The sharpness of the head and thorax is excellent and the flying bee (here the antennae distinguish it from a hoverfly) adds nicely to the composition.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan
