[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The African wildcat (Felis silvestris lybica)looks very much like a domestic short hair. They are endangered.

The picture was taken at The Samara Manor park in the Karoo region of South Africa in 2009.

Hello John,
Welcome to TN!
A nice capture of a wild cat with good sharpness where in focus to make a good effect from this frontal POV.
A note describing a little of the species and how/where you took this photo is a prerequisite on TN, though not all follow this.
Here it would be good to know why this is a wild and not a tame cat, as domestic pets are not allowed.
However you deserve full credit for the photo itself.

Hi John
welcome to TN
great portrait of this endangered cat, I have never seen one myself, obviously it's harder to find the small ones than the big ones
Eye contact is great and I like the natural surroundings

Hello Johan,
Welcome to TN. I hope you will spend many wonderful hours with us. You have quite a photo here as I think they are quite difficult to catch in the open. I like the focus on the cat and the rest faded. Well done.
