Streak-throated Woodpecker (female)
that is better attempt Rubi, ..good day! Still some minor issue with the white balance in my opinion, but an improvement is already drastic here.love the point of view as well. The Streak-throated Woodpecker has turned it head nicely on a site...fantastic soft light and exposition! question of personal preferences, but I personally love to see the contrast a bit stronger! Please, Ruby see my workshop! Hope you like it!

Beautiful species of woodpecker and good image, WS by George looks good. tfs.
Hope you are well. We are meeting for the first time so nice to meet you.
You have taken a wonderful photo of this elegant species of woodpecker in the difficult conditions as you have mentioned in your equally wonderful note. The light is indeed feeble but sufficient enough for the shot so no wasted effort. George's workshopped image is also very good. Your woodpecker was caught at the time when he/she was about to beak away a splinter of wood, sitting in a typical woodpecker posture. This is a lovely photograph and you are lucky that you live near a bird sanctuary, getting all the right opportunities to photograph these wonderful creatures. Thanks a lot for sharing......warmest regards/Abid

Very good capture, Ruby.
The image is quite sharp and the colours are natural. The old tree and the vines hanging from it make a very authentic BG.

You have an interesting gallery with very natural shots of various species of your country. Lucky you were too to have the fine sunlight on this beautiful woodpecker. We can see all details and color-variations of the subtle plumage of the bird. Nice pose too. Beautiful natural shot!
