[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tawny Eagles are difficult rapttors for photography because they are boring,
most of the time they are doing nothing or eating termites, sometimes carrion like here preying on a dead Abdim's stork.
So they are difficult to get in full action because there never act like a big Eagle but rather than a Buzzard or a Vulture

Hello Tom,
How can you say they're boring? I think they're fantastic birds and would be thrilled if I could capture one in any situation!! Your capture is an impressive close-up showing the Eagle in a fine pose from a low POV. Difficult lighting but you did very well in the circumstances!
TFS and best regards, Ulla

Damn ...this is cool! Good evening/day Tom! Fantastic dynamic capture of a gorgeous bird which is completely unknown species for me! I am surprised to know that they can chase termites ...sounds ridiculous, even offensive for such a majestic character ! Brilliant presentation Tom!!! Are you still in Tanzania? Hm ...interesting!

Hello Tom,
I have to hand it to you at capturing this nice of a shot in what looks like a terribly full sunny day. This is quite an interesting image, showing it tearing the flesh from this unlucky stork.
Even though you had to deal with the glaring sun you still managed to capture some mighty fine detail and attractive colors in his plumage. Love the intense gaze on his face as he dares anyone to try and take his meal. Well done!!
Ron

Impressive scene and impressive photo Tom! The pose of the Eagle is fantastic.

Christodoulos

Great shot - perfect in very difficult light conditions (heavy sun!).
regards
Pierre

Dear Tom
Your glorious photos taken in Tanzania make me realize, I won't be able to go there.....

Having a comprehensive library and seen many wildlife sites and documentaries, I feel and know that you are the most accomplished wildlife photographer at present!

Your portfolio is fascinating and interesting, with sharp details, glorious natural colors and each photo photo a documentary in itself.

I add this photo to my theme"animals feeding".
Thanks for sharing your work
Take care
Ingrid
