This is a set of compound eyes of a fly, which sucks blood of the cattle, but i doubt whether this is a horsefly. Kind ID confirmation requested. SHot without flash and not much of editing done.

Excellent Macro of the fly.

Using the 28mm lens reversed is very sharp with good DOF.
