American Robin

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
i was after a pair of Northern Cardinals and had been watching them for a long time when this American Robin came and perched near me. it was a moment, but as i was ready for capturing the cardinals, i could take the photograph instantly. the bird was within the optical-range of my camera and morning sunlight helped me in managing a good plumage. but what i loved most was the eye :)
American Robin (Turdus migratorius) belongs to the family 'Turdidae', which is the family of Thrushes. this particular one, i think, is a male. |

Ruby,
Wonderful rendition of our common "robin". I like the dark BG as if it were taken under greatly reduced lighting. TFS

Ruby, this is such a beautiful shot of this Robin. Wonderful sharpness and bokeh. Have a great week, Bill
Hi Ruby,
Nice shot of the robin. Good lighting, focus & details. Love the resolved eyes. I wish the tail were there in the frame.
Tfs - Subhayan.
