[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Turk's cap lily is now rather frequent on the hills of the Jura. On my small walking tour to the top of the Creux du Van I took some shots of this beautiful flower, that has been near to extinction some decades ago in this part of Switzerland.
Lilium martagon (Martagon or Turk's cap lily) is a species of lily. It has a widespread native region extending from eastern France east through northern Asia to Mongolia and Korea. Several subspecies have been named. Horticulturally it is in Division IX (true species). It is stem-rooting, growing between 1m and 2m tall. The flower colour is typically a pink-purple, with dark spots, but is quite variable, extending from near white to near black.

such a lively flower seen with good color contrast. Splendid details and the green blurry background is really smashing.
Just like a painting.
Well done.

Hello Pierre.
This is such a beautiful flower in nature. You have captured with excellent details and I like how the stamens pop out of the petals.
Thanks and have a wonderful day.
