The flower

Anthemis tomentosa

Division : Magnoliophyta
Classe : Magnoliopsida
Sous-classe : Asteridae
Ordre : Asterales
Famille : Asteraceae
Sous-famille : Asteroideae

More commonly, this is a variety of chamomile, rather living in sandy habitats of marines areas, as is the case of the «Domaine de la Palisade» (opposite the city of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, on the other side of the Rhône).

The foliage is cut in small strips, more or less succulent. The plant is rather erected, 50 inches in height, small bushes.

The shooting

Shot taken in mid-morning on a sunny and relatively windy (We are in Camargue, close to the sea).

Objective: Zuiko 14-45 in 28mm.

Despite the agitation, I have selected the aperture priority and then I have waited a brief moment of calm. Sensitivity equivalent to ISO-200 set. The opening was set at F/11 (compromise between a fast enough speed and an acceptable depth of field). With these parameters, the calculated speed is 1/160 th.

Post treatment

Development of the raw file with Olympus Studio (editing the white balance to retrieve information on the white petals of the flowers and the sharpening).

Correction of the on the pixelation with Neat Image stand alone release.
