Hi Jeroen
...test ..sounds good! However, in my opinion the image has becomes rather flat that way with the use of relatively closed aperture. The texture of the vegetation in front becomes too complex for the eye with its powerful contrast and on top of that the mountain in the background doesn't look included in the focusing field. Seems to me that the distance between your camera and the flower was too short and in the same time the hill behind was far away, so f/11 was not enough tho bring everything in focus ... the way you wanted. I do not know ... I feel that the result could be better in an overcast day perhaps

this is exactly what I remember from my Iceland trip: incredible DOF!
Volvanos tens of km away but as clear as the orchid right in front of you, these views with such a clean atmosphere are just incredible and you caught it very well here
