Gracupica contra - Alaca Çigdeci [TR], Pied Myna or Asian Pied Starling is a member of the Starling family STURNIDAE (PASSERIFORMES), ranges in the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. This bird is usually seen in small groups mainly on the plains and low foothills up to 700 m a.s.l. It is also found in cities and villages, but it is not common as much as Acridotheres tristis (Çiğdeci [TR], Common Myna, Indian Myna [EN]) in these settlements. This is an invasive species and its range increases (e.g. U.A.E.), whereas the original distribution is in Gangetic plains (summarized from Wikipedia).

The shot was taken from Safa Park near Burj el-Khalifa, laying on ground for eye level and beautiful bokeh effects. I hope you will like it.

Hello Ahmet! Welcome back!
Fantastic bird from an impressive POV! Wonderful pose, excellent composition, amazing colours and impressive sharpness!
Regards,
Christodoulos

Nice to see some truly exiting work from you once again Ahmet ! Welcome back ! What a shot we have here !!!! What a fantastic point of view. First class indeed. The slight color variation around the bird suggest that you have used the shadow /highlights tool in order to bring some shadow details, with a small Radius, unfortunately .... however. Not a big deal I guess if you keep the original file intact ! Other than that ...spectacular work my friend ! Take care !

Regards,
George Veltchev

Hello Ahmet,
Very happy to see that you are back on TN and with a superb bird-picture! Very fine shot of this Starling-species. Love the composition a lot, with just a few grasses on the ground and the blurred background as perfect contrast to the bird. You seem to have a superb equipment!
Hope we will see some other pictures :-)
Kind regards
Anne
