[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It has been raining here intermittently for the past two days. Today there was a short break during which sun shone. I had my compact camera with me, so I went around my school campus and found a pair of Crested Himalayan Bulbuls playing around on a leafless tree. I tried to capture them but the sun kept on getting back into the clouds and then coming out briefly. It was a useless exercise with a camera with limited range. Suddenly, a male Black Redstart appeared on the scene and perched on a pole. It stayed there only for a few seconds but I was able to take 3 shots of it in succession. Here is one of them. Due to poor light, the image turned grainy, so I had to use filtering software to remove the noise.

The Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros) is a small passerine bird in the redstart genus Phoenicurus. Like its relatives, it was formerly classed as a member of the Thrush family (Turdidae), but is now known to be an Old World flycatcher (Muscicapidae).

Thanks for looking.

Hello Ram
what a cool bird resting. Very nicely presented in detailed fluffy body. The neat feathers of the wings are really pretty.
Exciting colors too.
