This is a Hermit Crab: this picture was taken at San Cristobal Island which is part of the Galápagos Archipielago. Around 17:00 you will see many of these Hermit Crabs running all over the shores and trying to climb rocks or hiding in caves, a nice experience is that in this place they are not afraid of humans at all. |

Hello Jorge,
Nice to have somebody from Ecuador on this site! Pleasant picture of this hidden Crab. Excellent sharpness, may be a little too much sharpening, fine colors and an interesting posting. Love the pose you caught. I have seen these crabs too as I was on Galapagos islands some years ago.
