[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Had a blast on a recent retreat. Met this group a year ago and it has evolved to monthly treks with more photographers joining the group. "Heart of Mother Earth Retreats" and our recent meetup was at one of my jaunts. click here for more pics of retreat snapshots

It was great socializing and taking in breathtaking nature. It was early morning light and got some fair shots but this one stood out for me; mostly the reflection. After resizing i lost alot of the definition so "Gimped" it for some contrast and sharpen it up a bit. Hope you enjoy :)

Florida mottled ducks have an intrinsic, aesthetic value and are highly prized as a game bird. Also they are a defining member of the unique suite of species characteristic of the prairie ecosystem of south Florida.

Hello Brenda,
I see you have been having a blast the last few weeks down in Florida (the land of sun). It is just starting to warm up a bit here in Ohio, as today you could actually go outside in a short sleeved shirt.
Love your Mottled Duck which reminds me a lot of our female mallards. Even though you lost some detail it is still an attractive image and the reflection is just great. Beautiful vivid colors and just the right exposure.
I actually thought of you yesterday as I took the grandkids to see a Blue Heron rookery in which there were about 70 nest.

Hello Brenda.
Nice shot at this mallard swimming gracefully with fine reflection. The muted green bg adds contrast to this beautiful specimen.
Thanks for sharing and have a great week ahead.

Hello Brenda

Very beautiful close-up photo of the Mottled Duck
with its reflection on the water, very fine POV
at its level, beautiful light, it is just a
matter of taste (c'est une question de goût),
if you could have the duck 25% smaller the
duck on the photo, or 25% more space in-front
or around him, the photo would be more beautiful, TFS

Good image but looks a bit over exposed
