|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This pair of Northern Flickers had nested in a hole in a a tree opposite my office window (see Northern Flicker Leaving Nest) and emerged for a little breather and confab.|
The one of the left, without the black chinstraps, is the female - the one on the right is the male.
As before, taken on a very cloudy day, ISO 3,600.

The colors and composition of this image are impressive. You couldn't have positioned this couple any better had you picked them up and placed them in position yourself. The sharpness is good too considering the distance, the light and the 1.4tc. A very pleasing capture of an extremely flighty species. Well done!

Hi Alan, the bird below is blurred, but no problem, the composition is really beautiful,a lucky meeting and a great capture,i like it!Have a nice evening and thanks, luciano
Outstanding photograph of Northern Flickers, good sharpness, outstanding composition, outstanding background and lighting.
La composition est intéressante mais la profondeur de champ est hélas insuffisante principalement sur le sujet de droite.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
Very Good shot.
