I cropped this down to about 30 percent of the picture because there was a fence wire running through the picture. It's not the best focus and I had to sharpen it a lot. I thought I'd post it anyway because it's a great action shot of how this guy dug out his tree hole. He must have taken hours to do this and it was hysterical to watch all the wood chips fly out of the tree hole like he was some kind of maniac.

I have seen the White-breasted Nuthatch many times
but have never seen one Red-breasted Nuthatch,
its an excellent photo with the expressive
glance of the bird, TFS
