|This dream-like little Ophrys is an oriental plant flowering on the late, in May.|
In Turkey it grows eastward of the city of Antalya to the southeast of Anatolia in the provinces of Diyarbakir and Hatay from where it reaches the northern Syrian coast.
The species cannot be confused with any other one. flowers having a long and narrow lip with the side lobes reduced and spreading, the speculum sometimes represented by two streaks. Clearly distinguished from all other Ophrys by the raised, velvety-black callosity in the throat,
