[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph is taken in the thicket of the park near my house. Length with open feather is about 70 mm. Although a male is a spot patten like ordinary panther, the apical portion of the female front spring is tinged with black, and a white slanting belt is in it. It is widely distributed over the Torrid Zone and the temperate zone from northeastern Africa to India, the Indochinese Peninsula, Australia, China, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan. An imago is seen in familiar places, such as a prairie, the yard and a vacant lot, a roadside, etc. of the flat ground, and eats honey of a flower and the larva.
