From a distance you might think it looks like a berry of some sort, but no. The only fruit here is in the name of the snail. Apple Snails!

I think maybe I should have cropped father out, cause it hurts my eyes a little while touching it up cause of the bright pink color.

This is from wiki:

Ampullariidae, common name the apple snails, is a family of large freshwater snails, aquatic gastropod mollusks with a gill and an operculum. This family is in the superfamily Ampullarioidea and is the type family of that superfamily.[4]

The Ampullariidae are unusual because they have both a gill and a lung, the mantle cavity being divided in order to separate the two types of respiratory structures. This adaptation allows these snails to be amphibious.

Quite an interesting life form, Elena, though one would certainly mistake it for something else at first sight.
Good sharpness and lovely colours.

It's a snail??? I don't get it a gill and a lung? but no other structures?? antennae?? How ODD!!! wow I thought it was a fungus, eggs or something. Where is their beginning?? Can you put in the workshop a smaller picture which shows its beginning and end? Never EVER have seen anything like this in my life!
