Funny bug. Good capture, although I would have preferred the right antenna to be angled slightly differently. But I guess it's not easy to ask him isn't it?

Beautiful shot, Japie. The textures are superb, and you managed very well with the light, that reflective sunshield worked perfectly. I love the acacia spines with the shadows.
Focal lenght 300mm means that you did not use macro, but zoom?

This is BRILLIANT Japie! This is my favourite of your shots. I love it. The composition and details are excellent. You have used the flash to prefection.

Tal vez la textura y colorido del insecto son los responsable de que la nitidez no sea perfecta... pero la calidad de la captura es muy buena.
Buena composicion y una nota que expresa lo que nos sucede a muchos de nosotros.

Japie, Odd looking thing! I like Pauls remark about the "fluffy toy"! It looks like it would be insulated well from the cold!! Like the comp. with it astride the branch, split with blue sky. Great detail & you used your diffused flash & reflective shield with great results.. Great job!!

Fantastic macro Japie. Iv never seen anything quite like this insect before it. Its texture is most unusual.
