Regards Jiri.

Ciso Peter, great macro of fantastic butterfly, splendid sharpness fine details and wonderful natural colors, very well done my friend, Merry Chhristmss Silvio

I had captured a similar looking Satyrinae in the Himalayan foothills way back in 2007, Peter. That was the only time I came across a butterfly belonging to this sub-family.
This is a superb capture with the butterfly clinging to a rock. The typical shape of the wings and the colours on it are very well captured in your picture.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hi Peter

The rather mish mash patterns of the nicely isolated butterfly has a nice match with the otherwise noisy BG. Nice picture.

Hello Peter,
What a pretty butterfly to view on Christmas morning here in Ohio. You did a fine job of photographing it in what appears to be some pretty harsh lighting. Focus is tac sharp and detail is excellent. A real eye catcher!!
It will be quite some time before we are able to see butterflies such as this, since it is very cold out with about two inches of snow on the ground.

Hello Peter
Interesting species and beautiful photo!
Good composition, nice lighting and impressive sharpness!
