The nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus), sometimes called nilgau, is the largest Asian antelope. It is one of the most commonly seen wild animals of central and northern India.
Especially in Keoladeo National Park (formerly Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary) it is seen frequently.
Here they just came out of the water and run over the road just in front of us. I was lucky to get them because the were quite fast and the light was not too good.

Hello Pierre,
an antelope crossing your road mcertainly has been an unexpected encounter, really well captured in rapid motion. Its head and chest have been perfectly followed by your camera and cleary and sharply pictured while the legs are shown blurred in motion, same as those droplets of water in the backlight, thus adding to a perfect impression of dynamic action. A lively report on rich wildlife in densely populated India. Travelling Indian roads can be a constant source of excitement, indeed.
Thank you! With best regards,

Hello Mr.Pierre,
Nice to see this Nilgai crossing the road.Very sharp picture with splendid details on body.Like water droplets too.
Rajasthan-a city of palace.I think you captured so many palaces and castles picture also.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice time,

Hello Pierre,

Hope you are well. I owe you many comments friend....smile. This is an excellent action shot of this running nilgai, a beautiful antelope of our region.I do not know what the woman is doing in the background perhaps the road both are walking, is under water but this action in the shallow waters and the fine spray is definitely adding to the beauty of the scene. The focus is perfect and the entire setting impressive despite the human intrusion. Thanks a lot for sharing, take care,

warm reagards,

Fantastic shot,excellent take.....

Hi Pierre,
really nice animal. Excellent and dynamic photo. Nice composition.
Thanks for sharing,

Ciao Pierre, great capture of cute creature, lovely composition with beautiful drops, fine details, wonderful natural colors, excellent clarity and splendid light, very well done my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Pierre,

A very intriguing image with appealing movement Pierre, but this unnatural array of sparks of water is very disturbing, why i say this is, if this was water spraying with the movement of this fine animal, the spray would be all in the same direction, however the spray in front of the antelope is going in all directions and looks very unnatural, also the human element in the background distracts me from the center of interest, this image is not original and should be removed,

Best Regards,

Hi Pierre, what a lucky meeting and what a timing to take this great opportunity! The effect of mouvement and the drops in the air give a special quality to this pic, great shot about a specie not often seen on TN,i like it! Have a nice day and thanks,LUCIANO

Hello Pierre
照的清晰 也很創意隨性 很漂亮的動物
顏色簡單卻很亮麗 動作自然
光線亮麗 取景的時間和角度掌握的很棒
構圖美麗 背景深遂

I had a similar experience of watching these animals splashing across the shallow waters of Sultanpur bird sanctuary near Delhi in January this year, Pierre. I too have taken a similar image and intend to share it here on TN on inspiration from you.
Very dramatic action with a woman in the background. The dispersed water around the animal is well captured.
