Dancing Kingfisher
The White-throated Kingfisher is a very common bird in Bengal, we found it at more or less every corner of Bengal. I would like to show you a funny posture of this nice colourful bird. Hope you like it.

A little introduction from Wikipedia:
The White-throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis) also known as the White-breasted Kingfisher or Smyrna Kingfisher, is a tree kingfisher, widely distributed in Eurasia from Bulgaria, Turkey, West Asia east through the Indian Subcontinent to the Philippines. This kingfisher is a resident over much of its range, although some populations may make short distance movements. It can often be found well away from water where it feeds on a wide range of prey that includes small reptiles, amphibians, crabs, small rodents and even birds. During the breeding season they call loudly in the mornings from prominent perches including the tops of buildings in urban areas or on wires.

You have got nice wing pattern, you can actually brighten up the darker areas using any photo editing software, that will surely bring out some details in the shadow.

Lovely sight.
Right moment.
Superb quality too.

Hello Samiran,
What a pose! Fantastic timing. Excellent sharpness with the wing in the best light. Great composition.

Hello Samiran

Great timing to this wing pose of the Kingfisher with a lovely
lateral light shining the plumage, its wing pose and the way
being framed diagonally with the little branch it gives
dynamism to the photo, TFS

Hello Samiranda
Very nice image with good details.

Seeing this shot of yours I remember boul song

"pinjor khule dieachi, ja kichu debar chilo dea diachi..."

Hi Samiran,
Not only humorous, but a very good image also. The way how you played with lights and shadows is breathtaking. Exposure's excellent also, no blown out parts in the whites, such as sharpness. Composition's extremely pleasant with the different lights and the wing, as the main compositional element, placed into the left third. Superb shot! Hats off of you.
Best regards, László
