[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Diamond doves (Geopelia cuneata) are small doves found in the drier parts of the east and north of Australia. I photographed this pair on a trip to the Pilbara in September 2011. It was a hot day and the doves were resting in an Acacia tree, showing its characteristic dark red bark(called minni-ritchi) peeling away in small curls. This particular tree is probably Acacia grasbyi, common in the interior of Western Australia. |

Odile,
This looks like a very delicate bird ... so tiny ... so unique!!!
Love your blue sky.
Well balanced colours.
Perfect eye contact ... both birds.
10/10
Congratulations.
Best and most kind regards from COLD COLD Canada from Mario.
Bonsoir Odile,
