[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There are a number of One-sided Bottlebrush species (Calothamnus sp.), all endemic to the South-West of Western Australia, from the coast to well into the drier inland. The genus belongs to the Myrtaceae family which also include Eucalypts and Paperbarks (Melaleuca). I think this one is C. quadrifidus. It is a large perennial shrub with pine-like hairy leaves. Grows in a variety of soils, from sands to laterite. The flowers are characteristic of the genus with the anthers forming a red tubular-like flower, and all the flowers clustered on one side of the stem. These shrubs are favoured by honeyeater birds who go to great lengths to get its nectar.

Pretty Bottlebrush quite different from what we have of the same species here in India, Odile.
The pine-like leaves also have an interesting shape.
Thanks for sharing this lovely picture.
