[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Recently moved and started a new job, talk about embracing change! First thing I did was plant some flowers and added a bird feeder and bath for my lil garden. Absolutely love the ambiance and of course even more so now that the critters are visiting.

This was taken through my window pane of my french double doors. I sit here and start the day off every day with my coffee ready to capture each and every visitor!! Happy to share with you this Juvenile male Cardinal which at first glance thought it was a female!!

There is a local hawk so keeping this in mind set up hidden feeders and water for the smaller critters. Will put in the workshop a pic of the view :) Hope you enjoy!

Hi Brenda.
What a cute bird at an impressive magnification you managed to picture. I welcome a very nice framing and composition as well as DOF and details of the bird. Level of contrast of the image is low a bit as it is seems to me but it is not a point. Warm regards and TFS.

Hello Brenda,
Great close-up of this cute little Cardinal. You managed to capture some really good facial features and awesome eye contact. The shallow DOF makes you keep your focus on the subject and the feather detail is super.
Hope you don't mind, but I wanted to see what a tad more contrast would look like.

Hello Brenda,
Nice photo of this beautiful cardinal. F/4 was not enough for the best sharpness and details on the whole bird. The focus on the head is good. The colours can use a bit more contrast. Attractive pose with eye contact.

first; congratulate you on this wonderful photograph where the Cardinal seems to bring his head to our face; second; congratulations on your new home and employment; second; thank you have awakened in me the idea of placing a bird feeder in my small yard at the back of my house (in the United States of America have yard ahead of home, but in Argentina inherited the habit Hispano-Arabica of the courtyards at the back of the houses). Now I will tell you anecdotes of this bird feeder. Thanks!

A big hug!

Hi Brenda,

This is a great catch! I like the shiny eyes of this bird. Very clear photo. Good Job!For color I would prefer more saturated.
