Good evening / morning to everyone,

We do not have so many fruiting fungi here in Ireland now as we did a month ago, but some species, like Kuehneromyces mutabilis (Schaeff.) Singer & A.H. Sm., the Sheathed Woodtuft is still growing in my favorite forest on the Curraheen riverside (you can even see the river in the background on right), so I had a beautiful afternoon trying to capture them.

Photo: using my macro converter lens, manual exposure mode. In Photoimpact slight level and color adjustment, selective sharpening on the caps after re-sizing.

4 years ago I already shared this species, anyone interested in that pic please click here.

Thanks for looking and for sharing your opinion.

Hello László,
Beautiful macro of these fungi in nice contrasting colours and excellent sharpness.

Ciao Laszlo, lovely composition with nice couple, fine details, excellent sharpness, wonderful natural colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Laszlo,

Very good sharpness and depth for f2.8, however that's where this image stops...,

Compositionally very poor, ones eye wonders from left to right, point of view angle could be improved, for conditions under your full control, and you spent a little more time with your subject, you could have done a little bit better with this one Laszlo,

Elongated beautiful composition with these beautiful mushroom candy color. Especially emphasize the great work you've done with the exposure, achieving an intimate atmosphere, almost mysterious. Congratulations!
