|This is the Blackstart, quite common in the Negev desert. It is found in other desert areas of North Africa and the Middle East. The bird is named after its black tail, which it frequently fans. This rather small bird is about 15 cm long. It is quite unafraid of people.|

A pretty little bird with subtle gray plumage, white breast and coal black tail. I like the distinctive white eye ring it wears as well as it's very erect stance. Nice detail and good job with exposure, especially considering the harsh lighting you had to deal with. Well done!!
Great shot of this little Blackstart with variations of grey and black on its body that you have captured pretty nicely. Very good details and a superb contrast with BG. Thanks for sharing this fine shot,

Beautiful picture of this Blackstart, Ishi. Like its details and color on its plumage. Well managed light. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes
a precise and lively, well descriptive presentation both by image and short notes. Nice to see the well shaping slightly frontal light from the side, and the look into the barren desert habitat. Thank you!
With best regards,
