Hi Pedro,a great gift to the butterflies fans like me! This is a beautiful Ruddy Daggerwing (Marpesia petreus), a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family.Not easy to find and caught in a great perspective and exposure,very impressive sharpness and colors too! Hello Pedro,
The camouflage of this butterfly is incredible. I can imagine that it will be totally "invisible" amongst fallen leaves on the ground. What a wonderful capture. Well done.

A gorgeous specimen indeed and thanks to Luciano we now know it's identity. The clarity in this shot is awesome, exceptional detail is displayed and exposure is perfect. The array of colors are true and natural and framing is very attractive. I love the unusual shape of it's wings which reminds me of a leaf. A real eye catching photo!!
