[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This winter has been quite rainy, thus the flowering season has been outstanding.
This is our Spider Orchid, one of our largest Bee Orchids. The labellum is velvety with characteristic markings. The width of the flower is about 20 mm.
Two other specimens are given in the WS |

Hello Ishi,
What an attractive orchid you have presented to us. I love the rich burgundy almost black colors intermingled with a little green and a hint of yellow. Appears to have an almost velvety texture with a bit of shine to it. Focus is sharp and exposure is right on the money. All three images have been captured very well, however my favorite is the second shot. Great work!!
Ron
Bonjour Ishi,
