Hello friends, one thing I am not liking from my photo
it is that in the background snow on some parts the
snow is over burned is too much white.

1/4000s f/5.6 ISO1000 85mm (35mm eq:127mm).

« Activity and Movement:

The red squirrel is diurnal and arboreal, its activities in
the trees often unnoticed because of the dense foliage.
During the warmest days of mid-summer, activity peaks
at twilight. Midday activity is typical of cold winter days
when red squirrels leave the protection of their nests
to visit food stores, sometimes digging elaborate snow
tunnels to reach there stockpiles.

Red squirrels navigate trees with ease, running up
and down trunks, or along branches, bounding up to
2.4 m (8 ft) through the air from one branch to another
to reach different trees, occasionally falling to the
ground unscathed. On the ground, they walk or run,
and when alarmed, they may attain speeds of
22.5 km/hr (14 mph) for short distances. »

Merci.

Hello Asbed,
These cute little squirrels are like speeding bullets in a tree, let alone in the air....great stop action!! Nicely focused and wonderful exposure allowing us to view it's pretty reddish coat in nice detail. Well done!!
Ron

Well caught. Its not easy to capture a squirrel in flight - they actually move very fast.

Hello Asbed,

Beautiful presentation of this jumping squirrel. Very well captured. Although you have mentioned about harsh light on snow, but it doesn't look so bad here. Natural color with nice focus in subject.
Thanks for sharing,

Srikumar
