[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Ortolan bunting (Emberiza hortulana) is a bird in the bunting family Emberizidae, a passerine family now separated by most modern scholars from the finches, Fringillidae. The bird's common name is French, from the Latin hortulanus, the gardener bird, (from hortus, a garden).

A native of most European countries and western Asia, its distribution throughout its breeding range seems to be very local, and for this no obvious reason can be assigned. It reaches as far north as Scandinavia and beyond the Arctic Circle, frequenting cornfields and their neighbourhoods. It is an uncommon vagrant in spring and particularly autumn to the British Isles.

Hello Marius,
What a neat idea to show this pretty bunting off from two points of view. I like it's cute white eye ring and rufous colored breast. A fine specimen and in sharp focus. Exposure is great and I really like the attractive light blue BG. Well done!!

A very well managed combo of two different postures of this cute little Bunting, Marius.
Sharp images with a pleasant blue sky for background.
Thanks and regards.

Bonjour Marius,
C'est bien vu, mais surtout très bien restitué dans une belle lumière et sous une excellente profondeur de champ.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
