[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Sahara Sand Viper (Cerastes vipera) is a small venomous snake living in the desert sands. It endemic to the deserts of North Africa, the Sinai and Israel and it is active during the night. It feeds mostly from lizards. The snake usually catch the lizards in their burrows. Here, is a rare case of hunting the lizard outside the burrow, at night (especially that this lizard is active during the day)

Great catch (for the viper and for you), Oz!

What was the the lizard?

Shabbat shalom,

Ishi

Fantastic hunt capture, bravo ! TFS Ori

Ben, this is a very dramatic situation you have captured with exceptional clarity. The impression is decidedly 3 dimensional. The movement of the snake's body is clearly indicated by displaced sand pattern.
Thanks also for the informative note.
