[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A fairly common bird found throughout Ohio during the spring and summer months is the Gray Catbird. Named for the meow like sound it makes which is very similar to that of a domestic cat.

This is one bird that doesn't seem to crave just one particular type of habitat. These gray colored birds can be found in thickets, foraging insects on the ground in the open or eating berries in the trees.

Males and females look alike with their mostly gray plumages, black caps and chestnut colored undertail coverts

Hello Ron,
What a beauty! Excellent sharpness, details and an attractive pose with eye contact. Great natural colours and a fine composition too.

Hi Ron,
Welcome back to the site. Nice shot, effective composition with good sharpness and details on the plumage. Interesting textures of the background, it seems like water. :-) In spite of the slightly overexposed spot left from the bird, a good photo. Congratulations!
Kind regards, László

Hi Ron,
even if its called grey it is not only grey and you show it very well. Thanks

Beautiful picture Ron , well done.

Thanks for sharing.

So this bird sounds like a cat, Ron. Very interesting.
Excellent shot from a low perspective. Blissfully, the head of the bird is turned in such a way that we get to see every feature of it very distinctly. The subdued color tones are beautiful.
Thanks and regards.
