[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Brent geese breed in west Siberia in the summer. They spent the winter in western Europe.
In the Netherlands, as many as 93000 brent geese can be found between Apri and May.
Just imagine having only two months to lay eggs, brood them and raise the young before your food disappear under a thick layer of snow and ice.
It's not easy to raise chicks on the barren tundra. Breeding success for brent geese strongly depends upon the lemming population in the nesting area. When there are few lemming, artic fox switch over to hunting young geese. In that case, brent geese either delay nesting or depart for a fox free Island.

Hi Schulz,
An excellent capture of these geese with good POV.It would have been better if you have increased the DOF.

Hallo Monique,
Leuke foto van deze Rotganzen. Genomen vanuit een perfect laag standpunt. Met f/22 had er waarschijnlijk wat meer scherptediepte in de foto gezeten. Voor de 2 links voor met oogcontact zijn super!

Hi Mnique, the point of view is very original and perfect to create this nice perspective, interesting specie and top sharpness and colors.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

A very unusual POV from ground level, Monique.
However, it is quite effective and gives a fine impression of these birds from the rear.
Well done and TFS!

Hello Monique,
What an attractive low POV you used to take this interesting shot. The Brent Goose is certainly a beautiful bird as we can clearly see, you have done a fine job of presenting them to us. Nicely focused and showing pretty colors and just the right exposure. As was already mentioned, a little more DOF would have been helpful, but still a wonderful photograph.
