[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one bird that I don't get to see very often here in Ohio. I do manage to glimpse a few each spring up at Magee Marsh during the migration, but otherwise it is a hit and miss sighting.

The last two years I have spotted a few in the pokeberry bushes out behind the house, which is where I took this shot. Feeding on berries these neat looking birds usually travel in flocks during the spring time, only to break up in pairs during their nesting periods of the summer months. Oddly enough this was the only bird I spotted this particular day.

What I always find interesting about Cedar Waxwings is their very sleek looking plumages. They remind me of birds in seal skins:)

Ciao Ron, great capture of beautiful bird in nice pose, lovely ambientation, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Very sleek plumage, indeed, Ron. Your picture shows it extremely beautifully.
With its head turned slightly, the bird is a real pleasure to look at.
I also like the plant it's perched on; adds so much beauty to the composition as a whole.

Hola Ron, hermosa foto de este bello migratorio, lo he visto un par de veces en Costa Rica sin fotos buenas...nitidez, luz, color, composición perfecta en su fot...saludos.

Hi Ron,

The branches are helping to frame the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Cedar Waxwing. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
